The Evolve Champions Week is here! The Evolve Champions Week starts on January 15 and will feature a week long seminar with some of the greatest martial artists in the world including:

Renzo Gracie: 5th Degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt and legendary MMA fighter from the Gracie Family.
Kru Yodtong Senanan: the Grandfather of modern Muay Thai, the most respected Muay Thai master in Thailand, and the teacher of the most number of World Champions in the history of Muay Thai in Thailand.

Evolve Holiday Schedule

Evolve Mixed Martial Arts will be closed from December 25, 2008 to January 2, 2009. Please note that we wil be closing after the 12:30pm class on December 24. Evolve will re-open on January 3, 2009.

Evolve Fight Team Results!

The Evolve Fight Team went 1-1 in Thailand in its latest round of professional Muay Thai fights.

In convincing fashion, Mitch Chilson won by TKO in the 4th round. He fought a seasoned Muay Thai veteran. In a hard fought battle, Mitch knocked down his opponent in the 1st round with a series of hard punches. Mitch controlled the rest of the fight with a beautiful arsenal of roundhouse kicks, push kicks, and punches. In the 4th round, Mitch overwhelmed his opponent and the fight was stopped after his opponent could no longer continue.

In the other battle, Chatri Sityodtong lost on points to a tough Thai fighter with over 120 fights. Before the fight, the oddsmakers had the Thai opponent as a 2 to 1 favorite to win the fight. However, after 2 rounds with Chatri dictating the pace, the odds reversed with Chatri a 5 to 1 favorite to win the fight. Unfortunately, Chatri got caught with a left hook in the 3rd round and went down for an 8 count. The rest of the fight was a close battle.

The Evolve Fight Team prepares for battle!

2 members of the Evolve Fight Team will be competing in their next professional Muay Thai fights in Thailand on December 18 and December 22 respectively. Chatri Sityodtong will be fighting tomorrow night at the famous Theprasit Stadium as one of the main events on the fight card. His Thai opponent has over 120 professional fights and is a popular fighter in the region. Mitch Chilson will be fighting on December 22 against a formidable Thai opponent with over 100 fights. Both Chatri and Mitch have been training for over 8 weeks for their bouts under Muay Thai World Champions, Yoddecha Sityodtong and Nuengpichit Sityodtong.

BJJ Seminar by current World Champion Braga Neto this coming weekend!

Antonio Braga Neto, the 2008 Super Heavyweight Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu World Champion, will be conducting a special BJJ Seminar at Evolve. In 2008 alone, Braga Neto won the Mundials World Championships in the Super Heavyweight Black Belt division, the World No Gi Championships in the Absolute division, the Brazilian Nationals, and other prestigious BJJ tournaments. He is considered the "Tiger Woods" of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu by many experts. He was recently voted the #1 No-Gi Grappler in the world. He is currently considered one of the top 3 BJJ Black Belts in the world alongside legendary World Champions, Roger Gracie and Xande Ribeiro.

The Braga Neto BJJ Seminar will be on December 20-21 from 10am to 1pm each day. He will be covering special techniques for BJJ with Gi on Saturday and then BJJ with No Gi on Sunday. Space will be limited to only 75 people. The general public is welcome to attend this event. If you sign up ahead of the event, the investment will be $100 for 1 day and $150 for 2 days. 17 Nov 2008: 2008 Mundials Black Belt World Champion comes to Evolve Antonio Braga Neto, the 2008 Mundials Black Belt World Champion, is coming to Evolve to train his standup game with our Muay Thai World Champions. He will also be teaching BJJ as a guest instructor at Evolve while he is here. Braga Neto is the 2008 Brazilian National Champion, the 2008 Mundials World Champion in the Super Heavyweight Division, and the 2008 No Gi World Champion in the Absolute Division. He is currently one of the hottest BJJ Black Belts in the world. In an effort to improve his striking abilities for MMA, Braga Neto decided to come to Evolve to train Muay Thai under Muay Thai World Champions Yoddecha Sityodtong and Nuengpichit Sityodtong. Superstar Trainer of World Champions, Daorung Sityodtong will also play a large role in revamping Braga Neto's striking game. While he is here, Braga Neto will represent the Evolve Fight Team at various competitions.

17 Oct 2008: The legendary Sityodtong Gym in Thailand and Evolve Mixed Martial Arts join together to teach Muay Thai in Singapore The Sityodtong Gym in Thailand and Evolve Mixed Martial Arts have joined together to teach Muay Thai to Singapore. Evolve is an official branch of the world-renown Sityodtong Gym in Thailand. The Sityodtong Gym has produced the most number of Lumpinee World Champions in the history of Muay Thai in Thailand. It will lead the Muay Thai Program at Evolve with both permanent and rotating instructors from its own legendary Sityodtong Gym in Thailand. Sityodtong Gym has dedicated a total of 10 world-class instructors who are current or former World Champions, top professional fighters, and/or elite trainers to teach at Evolve Mixed Martial Arts. All instructors are from Thailand and are certified by Kru Yodtong, the Grandfather of modern Muay Thai.

15 Oct 2008: Renzo Gracie and Evolve Mixed Martial Arts join together to open the first official Renzo Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Program in Asia Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Master and MMA Legend, Renzo Gracie, will open his first official Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Program in Asia at Evolve Mixed Martial Arts in Singapore. The curriculum at Evolve will be exactly the same as those of other Renzo Gracie Academies around the world. All belt promotions will be official Renzo Gracie belts and will be administered by a Renzo Gracie Black Belt. Renzo will have the ultimate authority over the Renzo Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Program at Evolve with his black belt instructors. Evolve is an official Affiliate Renzo Gracie Academy.
