Eat a nutritious, filling breakfast

If you don’t already know, having a hearty breakfast filled with fiber and protein should be one of the first things you do in the morning – after getting out of bed and brushing your teeth. When you fuel up with something nutritious first thing in the morning, you’ll jumpstart your metabolism and be able to burn those calories throughout the rest of your day.

Pack your lunch for the day

After having your breakfast, prepare and pack your lunch to bring along with you to school or work. By doing so, you’d be less likely to reach out for junk food when lunchtime rolls around. It helps to do this after eating because you’d feel full and be less likely to pack a large portion and overeat!

Fill your water bottle

If there’s a water cooler in your office or school, you can just pack an empty bottle and fill it once you’re there. Either way, make sure you take sips of water throughout the day and keep yourself hydrated, so that your body would be able to function at its best and flush out those toxins. Ideally, you should drink about 2 liters of water daily.

If you’re a morning person…

Why not kickstart your day with an intense gym session or a run? By working out first thing in the morning, you don’t have to worry about rushing to the gym for the rest of your day. Also, early workouts play a part in boosting your productivity and keeping you in a good mood!

Do ensure that you’ve packed a balanced meal, with the right amount of protein and carbs, so that your body can get all the nutrients it needs. Psst! You might want to include some of these foods to keep your energy levels up all day!

Go out for some fresh air

If you sit in an office all day, you might start to feel restless at some point. So why not take a quick break and clear your mind by stepping out for some fresh air? Going for a walk around the area would also help you effortlessly burn some calories! Trust us, you’d feel much better after your mini break and might even be more productive when you get back to your desk.

Recharge with some green tea / light snacks

Besides helping you to melt away fats, green tea is also rich in antioxidants and can give you that much needed mid-day caffeine boost. So if you’re feeling a little tired, or if you need a reason to to step out of your office, why not grab a green tea! For those who feel the need to nibble on something, reach out for these healthy snacks to last you till dinner time.

Hit the gym (if you haven’t worked out in the morning)

Now that work or school has ended, it’s the best time to make a trip to the gym for a good workout! If you’re feeling lazy, it helps to remember that one hour is only 4% of your day – so why not make it count and get closer to achieving your dream body?

Prepare a healthy dinner

It is important to fuel up with nutritious pre- and post-workout food. So make it a point to spend some time preparing a healthy dinner for yourself – whether you’ve worked out or not. If you feel that you don’t have the time to whip something up for yourself, then head to one of these healthy restaurants for a nutritious meal.

Plan your next day (or week)

Did you know that planning your day in advance helps you get the most out of it? What’s more, you’re more likely to stick to your plans and accomplish all that you set out to do when you make your plans tangible – by writing or typing them out. So plan your meals and workouts if you really want to shed those pesky pounds.

Pack your workout gear

If you intend to exercise the following day, then pack your workout gear before you hit the sack. This would free up part of your morning that could potentially be spent on packing, and enable you to do everything we mentioned at the start of this article! Also, if you’re someone who tends to get unmotivated, this is a great sneaky way to ensure you make it to the gym.

Sleep early

Yes, we know. There are a million and one things that can keep you awake every night. But here’s the thing: getting sufficient rest is important – not just for your overall health but also with weight loss! This is because when you don’t get enough sleep, you’d feel tired. Hence, you’d lack the willpower to take care of yourself properly by making healthy decisions. So ensure that your body gets the rest it needs to repair itself so that you can take on the next day!
