WATCH: Muay Thai World Champion Kanongsuk Chuwattana’s 4 Best Fights (Videos)

Don’t let his charming good looks deceive you, Kanongsuk Chuwattana is without a doubt one of the most powerful Muay Thai fighters of his generation. A three-time Rajadamnern Muay Thai World Champion and the 2014 Max Muay Thai World Champion, Kanongsuk is well known for his devastating power and technical prowess in the ring.

Today, Evolve Daily presents Kanongsuk Chuwattana’s 4 Best Fights:

1) vs. Chanchai Sit-Itisukato

In this fight, Kanongsuk faced off with Chanchai Sit-Itisukato for the 160lbs Rajadamnern Stadium title. In a true testament of his power and accuracy, Kanongsuk rocked the taller Chanchai with a blindingly fast and devastating jab-cross combination before finishing him off with another quick combination to win the fight and become a three-time Rajadamnern Muay Thai World Champion.

2) vs. Ormsinlek P.K.Muaythai Gym

This fight against fellow top contender Ormsinlek P.K.Muaythai Gym is a perfect example of the heart and will Kanongsuk possesses as a fighter. The two fighters threw all they had at one another: hard kicks, knees, punches, and combinations. In the end, Kanongsuk’s technique and constant pressure proved too much for Ormsinlek and the judges scored the bout in his favor, making him the Rajadamnern Muay Thai World Champion for the second time.

3) vs. Chanachai Kaewsamrit

Compared to most fighters in Thailand, Chanachai Kaewsamrit is considered to be a giant. Standing 6-feet tall, the feared 2015 Max Muay Thai World Champion outmatches most of his opponents in size and strength. But none of this mattered to Kanongsuk, who outsmarted his bigger and stronger opponent with technique and precision. Kanongsuk won the fight on the judges’ scorecard and established himself as one of the best fighters in the heavier divisions in Thailand.

4) vs. Piathong Sak-Amunuai

In this fight, Kanongsuk takes on Piathong Sak-Amunuai for the vacant super-welterweight Rajadamnern Stadium title. The fight started out as a chess match with both fighters trying to outsmart the other. However, both fighters started to increase the pace and aggression after the second round. And it was only a matter of time before Kanongsuk’s power proved too much for Piathong. With one single elbow in the clinch, Kanongsuk knocked his opponent out cold to win his first Rajadamnern Muay Thai World Title.

With such precision, technique, and strength complimented with the heart of a warrior, Kanongsuk is truly a powerhouse in the beautiful art and sport of Muay Thai. Now, he shares his knowledge alongside other Muay Thai legends as part of Asia’s most decorated instructor team at Evolve MMA.
