5 Simple Ways To Recharge Your Mind And Body When You Feel Burned Out

We like to push ourselves – to achieve more, go further, exceed our limits. While it’s good to be productive and feel like you’re on top of the world, you need to listen to your mind and body, because sometimes, enough is enough. When you constantly try to be everything to everyone and accomplish more than what you reasonably can, it could get really exhausting – and you might end up feeling overwhelmed, overstretched and burned out.

All of us at Evolve Daily have had such days before, so we can totally understand. Fortunately, there are some simple things you can do to recharge – and these things wouldn’t consume too much of your time, so you don’t have to feel stressed about not having enough time just because you’re taking some time to recharge.

Want to help yourself feel better? Today, Evolve Daily shares 5 Simple Ways To Recharge Your Mind And Body When You Feel Burned Out:

1) Boost your mood with a workout

If you’ve been sitting by your laptop all day, there’s a chance you might feel sluggish or mentally exhausted. After all, sitting for long periods of time can really drain your energy. So if you spend large amounts of time sitting at work or school, then do your body a favor by keeping active!

When you regularly engage in physical activity, you not only get your heart pumping and burn calories but also boost your mood! This is due to the fact that exercise releases feel-good chemicals such as serotonin, endorphins and adrenaline in your brain.

2) Go on a digital detox

It is important to warm up properly before your Muay Thai training.

How much time do you spend keeping up with social media or surfing the net? While it feels like you’re relaxing when you take that 15 minute Instagram break or binge watch your favorite TV series on Netflix, the truth is that you’re damaging your health – and also straining your eyes. So why not do yourself a favor and go on a digital detox? Even if it’s for just an hour or two, keep your electronic devices away and immerse yourself in nature or simply be present in your surroundings.

By unplugging and disconnecting from the digital world, you would not only be giving your mind a break but also enabling yourself to appreciate everything in front of you. As a result, you would have more gratitude for the things you have in life.

3) Make time for yourself

In BJJ, size doesn’t matter because smaller people can overcome stronger, bigger opponents via technique and leverage.

As busy as you might get, you should never ever neglect yourself. After all, your well being should always be a priority. Even if it’s just fifteen minutes, make it a point to catch a breather daily, and just spend some time on yourself. Whether it’s taking a walk around your nearest park or reading a chapter of your storybook with a latte in front of you, you deserve to treat yourself for a bit every day – so do it. It would definitely be a good break in the middle of a hectic day, and you would feel more refreshed after having some peaceful alone time.

4) Think positive thoughts

It doesn’t matter whether it’s something you’re grateful for, or an inside joke – take a moment to think of something that makes you smile. Trust us, you would immediately feel more recharged. Whether you know it or not, your thoughts are way more powerful than you think, and you can actually set the tone for a great or bad day ahead, just by what you decide to fill your mind with. So make it a point to always choose positivity and to keep yourself happy, because sometimes all you need is a positive thought to get yourself through the toughest days.

5) Spend some time doing something you’re passionate about

Life can be pretty mundane when we focus on doing things that we have to do, rather than thing we genuinely love to do. As a result, you would feel more drained doing these day-to-day tasks. When you spend some time daily doing the things you love – be it drawing, writing, or training Muay Thai, your life becomes just that bit more exciting. Also, you would feel more motivated to get the most out of your day – because it’s so much more rewarding to spend your time on something you love.

Once you’re in your happy place, there’s no doubt that you feel more rejuvenated – and those mundane tasks would fail to bring you down and sap your energy.

So tell us, are you ready to recharge and feel better? Go forth and put that smile back on your face!
