Our instructors comprise the world’s largest collection of World Champions, firmly establishing Evolve MMA as Asia’s best destination for martial arts. The Evolve MMA Instructor Team ranks among the world’s most accomplished professional martial arts teams in the world, with over 1,000 years of world championship experience across Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts, Boxing, Submission Grappling, and many more.
Under their tutelage, our students and instructors unleashed their greatness by standing tall as World Champions themselves. We are proud to celebrate them as martial artists, warriors, and Champions!
Taking The Win In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Our students and instructors ignited the warrior spirit in them as they dominated their opponents on the mats! The Evolve MMA BJJ Competition Team stood tall on the podium at the Pan Pacific IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship 2022, with five students and instructors winning medals at the prestigious event in Melbourne, Australia on 28 and 29 Oct 2022.
A mainstay of the BJJ Instructor Team at Evolve MMA, 2x Mundials World Champion Professor Teco Shinzato took the gold in the black belt Master 4 lightweight division.
Our students displayed their sheer mastery of the gentle art on the mats at the event. Their understanding of techniques was a sheer testament to their dedication and effort, as well as the commitment of our instructors toward their students.
Gary Ng Kai-Yi, a brown belt, took the silver medal home in the featherweight division of the Master 1 category.
Mohamed Damiri Mohamed Hosain took the gold medal in the Master 2 category in the lightweight division as a purple belt.
Our female BJJ athletes were just as outstanding at this international competition. Lin Hong Quak secured the silver medal in the adult featherweight division, while Qian Zhao won the silver medal in the adult light featherweight division.

Standing Tall With SEVEN Consecutive First-Round Victories!
Wrestling Champion Eko Roni Saputra from the EVOLVE Fight Team extended his amazing run in ONE Champion at ONE 162! Saputra started his martial arts journey as a boxer under his father’s tutelage at 5 years of age, but switched to wrestling when he was 13. Saputra took to grappling like a fish to water, winning the bronze medal in the 50 kg division at the 2009 Southeast Asian Games in Vientiane when he was just 18 years old. He followed that performance by securing the silver medal in the 55 kg division at the 2013 edition of the Southeast Asian Games in Yangon.
On 22 Oct, Saputra clashed with Yodkaikaew Fairtex in the Circle at ONE 162 in flyweight MMA action. The 31-year-old Indonesian sensation wasted no time in keeping Yodkaikaew on the back foot by opening with a few probing strikes. Once he got a feel of the Thai, Saputra took the fight to the mat in just 15 seconds, successfully taking the back quickly. Though Yodkaikaew recovered to his feet multiple times, Saputra never relinquished his grip on his opponent. Saputra’s relentless and top-notch wrestling paid off in spades as he passed Yodkaikaew’s guard, locked in his grip on his ankle, and secured the heel hook for the win at just 2:16 of the opening round.
This amazing win is Saputra’s SEVENTH consecutive first-round victory, ensuring his meteoric rise to the top ranks of the flyweight division.
